Accommodation

Though Paris is within easy reach by train, we encourage long stay participants to live in Fontainebleau itself or in surrounding villages within easy commuting distance of the campus, which is about 10 minutes walk from the centre of the town.

Short term

INSEAD Résidences Ermitage and Clos St Merry

INSEAD has two on-campus residences available for short term stays. These are available to participants of short programmes, conferences or seminars.

Hotels

Fontainebleau offers hotel accommodation of all levels to suit all budgets. Local villages, such as Barbizon and Samois-sur-Seine, also have several hotels renowned for their hospitality and cuisine. Further information can be obtained through the local tourist office. Click here for a list of Fontainebleau hotels.

Longer term

While INSEAD does not provide on-campus accommodation for long stay participants, Fontainebleau and its environs offer accommodation of all types for both the long and the short term.

For those planning to stay with us for a longer period there is a wide variety of reasonably priced housing to rent in the area, including studios, flats and houses. Sometimes MBA participants rent a large country house or chateau for the year and share it with fellow participants. Click here for some local housing agencies.

Bonapart is an online housing service that provides you with a list of accommodation rented directly by landlords to INSEAD participants and operates with a non-profit state of mind.
